Sponsorship

How Sponsorship Works

Every slot is sold by auction, and every past auction is public.

The rules of the sponsorship auction.
Slots	5, ranked by bid.
Period	One calendar month, 00:00 UTC on the 1st to the end of the month.
Bidding Opens	The 24th of the previous month at 00:00 UTC.
Bidding Closes	00:00 UTC on the 1st.
Reserve	0 dollars, a 0 dollar bid is a claim.
Increments	5 dollars below 100, 10 dollars from 100 to 499, 25 dollars from 500.
Ties	The earlier bid wins.
Raising	Bids are final and can be raised, never lowered.
Bids per Server	One.
Winners	The top 5, one slot per account.
Payment Window	48 hours from the offer, by card, or one click for a 0 dollar slot.
Non Payment	The slot passes to the next bidder at that bidder's own amount. A 6 month bidding ban on the first offence and a permanent one on the second.
Eligibility	A verified listing with no active penalty and 80 percent uptime over the last 30 days, or over its whole history when the listing is newer than that.
Chargebacks	A chargeback or a refund on a paid slot removes the listing from the site and closes the account to bidding.
Consecutive Month Discount	5 percent off the charge after one consecutive paid month and 10 percent after three, never off the rank. A missed month ends the streak, and a 0 dollar slot starts no streak.
Unsold Slots	Shown as Featured, free and not a sponsorship.
Refunds	None once the period starts. A server offline for more than 7 days in a row loses its slot.

The period is never prorated. A slot that starts late still ends when the month ends.

Sponsorship

One slot, every sponsored position on the site, and the numbers behind it.

A sponsored server appears in the sponsored block on the home page, the server list, matching tag pages, and the vote page.
The block rotates, so every sponsor takes every position across a day, and a sponsor never appears on another server's page.
Every sponsor's dashboard shows impressions, clicks, address copies, vote page visits, and votes.
